Offshore wind - energy of the future in Poland, Norway and Latvia’ event aimed at Polish, Norwegian and Latvian entrepreneurs and business environment institutions offering innovative offshore wind energy solutions has come to an end.
The seminar as well as the combined business mixer session took place on 16th October 2024 during the OTD Bergen trade fair in Norway and gathered over 40 participants from Poland, Norway, Latvia, Czech Republic and North Macedonia.
OTD Bergen is the leading energy trade fair in western Norway. For 25 years, the fair has been the largest meeting place for companies looking to establish business relationships with large and small players in the region. The fair attracts almost 200 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors.
The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), together with Innovation Norway, in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) organised an event that was an open space for cooperation as well as a platform for exchange of technologies and innovations offered by Polish, Scandinavian and Latvian leaders in offshore wind energy.
Topics discussed during the seminar included:
- the role of secondary steel in offshore wind farms;
- the acquisition of meteorological and environmental data as an essential tool to support investment in offshore wind farms;
- conclusions from the first offshore wind energy financing project in Poland;
- trends in offshore wind market in Poland, Norway and Latvia.
The event was inaugurated by Ms Małgorzata Kosiura-Kaźmierska, Head of Mission in Oslo.
